I picked the book Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult because the book is very real. It is about a school shooting which, could happen anywhere. I think that every teen should read this book because it shows the things in high school that might make you upset, or that you might do that could upset someone else. This book shows that people who are thinking to do something horrible, like shooting people at their school, don’t always show it. In this book, the person who shoots his school doesn’t give many clues to his intentions. So, I believe that everyone entering high school should read this because it shows that these things are real, they aren’t, “Oh that would never happen here!” They are very horrible, but they are preventable.
